One Trunk Theatre is travelling to Morden to get to know the community and create a brand new play. Adults of any age are welcome to join us for a workshop on devised theatre (a multi-disciplinary approach to creating theatre) and contribute to this project.

In this judgement-free workshop designed for all experience levels, participants will be led through a series of activities from movement to image based theatre, and from improvisation to playwriting in order to create short scenes that could only happen in Morden & the surrounding region.

All participants will be invited to write, speak, perform and participate in various ways, but can step out and observe at any time they wish.

ABOUT ONE TRUNK THEATRE

One Trunk Theatre is a professional theatre company based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Established in 2012, we have created or produced nearly 40 original theatrical productions. The work we create is always new and collaboratively created. We have extensive experience creating theatre from the ground up. We have partnered with artists of all media, non artists, kids and many professional companies such as Theatre Projects Manitoba, True North Sports & Entertainment and Prairie Theatre Exchange to present our work. 

The One Trunk team has extensive experience teaching, facilitating, creating with and directing youth of all ages. We are keen to make diverse arts education available to all students in our province. We want to provide opportunities to youth through storytelling, dance, songwriting, or visual arts, to tell their stories. In our work, we always have fun while sharing our “tools of the trade” so that everyone can be in on the fun!
